Robin Wright moving to Britain for good: “The British aren’t stuck in traffic”

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, Robin Wright has joined the ranks of celebrities leaving the United States following Donald Trump’s return to power. The Emmy-nominated actress and director told The Times in a new interview that she will move to the UK permanently and never return.
The House of Cards star said: “America is a shit-show.” Speaking about Britain, she added: “I love living here. There’s individual freedom. People are kind. They live. They’re not stuck in traffic in their cars, they’re not anxious on their phones while eating a sandwich. Most of America is like that—everything’s about chaos, competition, and hurry.”
Wright said she now wakes up in the UK to the sound of birdsong, whereas in Los Angeles it was always construction noise: “Everyone’s building a bigger house, and I’m tired of it all—I love the silence. And I’ve finally found the love of my life.”
The Princess Bride actress revealed she is dating an architect named Henry Smith, whom she met in a pub. She will soon appear in the erotic thriller series The Girlfriend for Prime Video.
The 65-year-old also admitted to regrets about her parenting style: “My biggest regret as a mother is that I wasn’t strict enough. I’ve lived with the consequences for years with my kids. I didn’t push them hard enough.”
Wright, who shares two children—Dylan (34) and Hopper Jack (32)—with ex-husband Sean Penn, said he often left her alone at home: “We both had extreme behavior.”
The Girlfriend will premiere on September 10.
